Welcome

Doug Schiller

Dear Students, Parents, Alumni, and Community Members,

Welcome to Glenbrook Off-Campus (GBO). We are pleased to introduce you to our program and share what makes GBO a unique and supportive place to learn and grow.

GBO provides meaningful opportunities for students who may be experiencing challenges within a larger educational setting. As a small and specialized environment, our team is committed to engaging each individual in their journey toward personal success through academic instruction, social-emotional skill building and transition planning.

Students at GBO experience a strong sense of belonging and pride in their school community. Their voices are valued and consistently incorporated into decision-making by the school team. They are actively engaged not only in their academics and school activities but also in extracurriculars and district-wide events, supported every step of the way with individualized resources designed to help them prepare for life after high school.

At GBO, relationships matter. Students are supported in developing strong social-emotional skills and building trusting connections that help them navigate challenges and thrive both in and out of the classroom.

Just as students are active participants in their growth, families are an essential part of the GBO community. Families engage positively with school staff, maintaining open and supportive communication. Their involvement and encouragement play a critical role in supporting students’ goals and overall success.

We are excited to welcome you to our website and look forward to partnering with you on this journey. Together, we can foster a positive, connected and empowering educational experience.

In partnership,
Douglas Schiller
Assistant Director of Special Education
